I've been contemplating a lot for the past few days. I keep on thinking of new things to do and what to do with the extra time and cash that I have now that my hubby went off shore again to go back to work. I have a total of 8 months to do something for myself and I'm thinking of putting up a small business or invest some money to something that I enjoy and will give me extra income.
Also, I've been reading some articles about business handling and investing. I really enjoyed reading Mr.Fitz' blog, it's informative and very useful especially for people who are thinking of venturing into being an entrepreneur. I actually shared his site to my officemates who are also thinking of investing some money to MLM's and food cart business, and they all thanked me for sharing. Kulang na lang halikan nila ko sa tuwa.. hahaha.
The good thing about the site is that it is relevant since the writer is a Filipino and it is very detailed and up to date. So if you're into budgeting, business minded or simply just wanted to check out how to be or thinking of being a millionaire then check out Mr.Fitz' site and I tell you... you won't regret it.
So now what keeps me busy is the constant reading and thinking. Reading about the pros and cons of being an Entrepreneur and also thinking of what I should do with my time and money. I have listed some of the opportunities that I’ve seen online and ideas from some people I talked to. Here are the choices:
1. Food cart business – for 21,888 I will have my own food cart and the food choices to sell are the ones that I enjoy eating. Problem is, I don’t have a place to put the actual cart and I don’t have any idea how to sell this kind of stuff (pano pag may tirang food?).
2. All networks Loading Business - for P3,988 I will have the loading kit that will enable my cellphone to load up for all cellphone networks in the Philippines. The site says that the predicted income can hit up to P30,000 per day, and it is really possible if you have a good location to sell the load at kung full time ka. Problem is, I'm working at night so walang mapapagbentahan (meron man konti lang).
3. Small Photo printing Business - for a roughly P22,000 I will have my own photo printing (start-up) business which I really really like. Problem is, I have a friend who already has the same business at ayoko muna syang kumpetensyahin. Hehehehe.
4. Buy and sell - I'm thinking of selling the whitening soap that I'm using right now. My officemate sold me some and she told me were to actually buy this product for retail price. I really like the soap(s) 'coz it doesn't dry up my skin (unlike vicky belo's soaps and the goats milk soap I bought a few years back at HBC) and it smell really really good. And it's actually working, I noticed how my skin went from dark to fair in just 1 week.
5. 5-6 - I already became a "bumbay" before 'coz I actually invested 7k for this kind of "pautang". Medyo nalugi ako kasi di ko natutukan. But since I took some time to learn how the business works, by reading and asking my friend who's into this kind of business, I think I can engage into doing this again.
6. Handicrafts - Well I'm not that artsy, but I'm really interested in doing crafts using Polymer clay. I saw a stay-home mom doing this craft when she was featured in "kabuhayang swak na swak" and I must say it looks really easy and rewarding. She sells her crafts over multiply.com and she said that it is really a good source of income. Of course she had to start small and eventually the business grew bigger. Problem with this is, again, I'm not that creative.
There are other choices such as selling Avon, food products, gadgets and such. But my biggest problem is the fear of losing money. I think all of us who's working hard to earn money is afraid to lose money. But if I really want to be rich by the time I'm 30, I have to take some risks... right? So that when I'm old and gray I don't have to look back and ask myself "what if?"
Haay.. God... Help!
