Photoshop Tutorial

Eto ang umuubos ng oras ko sa bahay (bukod sa pagaalaga sa anak ko) I really loooooove Photoshop ever since college. I actually bought a set of CD's online about creating templates, wedding scrapbooks, etc. and it included some Photoshop tips and tricks. I already know how to do most of them but still, seeing some of the effects on the tutorial just amazes me.
So today, I'll share my most favorite effect, the Romantic - Soft Glow effect which most photographers use today. It's the easiest way to "beautify" your photo.

Here's the original Photo without the effect:

1.Open your photo in photoshop and create a duplicate of it by selecting the image on the Layers palette then click on Ctrl + J

(Just disregard the screenshot's "screen" option on layers, this should say "Normal" on your screen)

2. Select the duplicate layer (Layer 1) and apply the Gaussian Blur effect on it. Go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur.
Don't over do the blur, just make sure that you can still see your image.

3. Then go to the Layers palette again and change the blending mode from Normal to Overlay.
(disregard the screenshot you're just workin on Layer 1)

And you're done! You can increase the blur to see more of a Soft Light image. You can also play around the Opacity adjustment to make your photo a more realistic one.

Here's the finish product:

Ang galing di ba. Try mo na.
